Granite countertops can typically be cleaned with a mild soap & water mixture. It’s as easy as that! To avoid streaking you may want to use a microfiber cloth or soft cloth to get a shiny clean, streak-free counter.
At Granite Creations, we supply a special granite and marble cleaner which can be used to clean your countertops. If you run out of this cleaner, there are other alternatives. Multi-purpose Windex or a similar product can be used as an alternative as long as your tops have been sealed properly.
When your granite is uber greasy, regular soap or Windex may not be enough to remove the greasy film. Use a dab of denatured alcohol in the greasy area to cut through the film. Spray the mixture onto the countertop and wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel. To ensure your countertops last; do not do this more than once every few months.
